Intensive Models of Care

Accelerated Progress Through High-Intensity Therapy Programs

ReimagineOT focuses on progress

Our Approach to Intensive Therapy

At ReImagine OT, we take a different approach to pediatric therapy. Rather than the traditional model of weekly therapy sessions over many months or years, we provide intensive, focused interventions that produce significant results in shorter timeframes.

Our intensive therapy programs deliver 3-4 hours of therapy per day over 1-3 weeks, allowing for the repetition and consistency needed to establish new motor patterns and skills. This high-intensity approach stimulates neuroplasticity—the brain’s ability to form new neural connections—resulting in faster functional improvements.

Why Choose Intensive Therapy?

  • Accelerated Progress: Achieve in weeks what might take months or years in traditional therapy
  • Focused Skill Development: Concentrated practice of specific skills leads to better retention
  • Enhanced Neuroplasticity: Intensive repetition promotes the brain’s ability to reorganize and adapt
  • Improved Motivation: Children experience success more quickly, boosting confidence and engagement
  • Better Carryover: Skills developed intensively are more likely to be maintained long-term
  • Family Involvement: Parents and caregivers are actively integrated into the therapy process
  • Customized Approach: Each program is tailored to your child’s specific needs and goals

Our Intensive Therapy Models

ReImagine Method for Functional Movement Intervention

Our signature approach developed by Jennifer Mazurkiewicz combines multiple evidence-based techniques with a focus on proper alignment, muscle activation, and functional movement patterns.

This comprehensive method addresses the whole child and is delivered in a play-based, motivating environment.

Other Specialized Approaches

We offer several additional intensive therapy approaches that can be used independently or in combination with the ReImagine Method, depending on your child’s specific needs:

Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI): Improves automatic postural responses and promotes gross motor skill development
Constraint-Induced Movement Therapy (CIMT): Enhances function in children with hemiplegia or limited use of one arm
Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES): Develops muscle awareness and strength paired with functional activities
Manual Therapy: Includes various techniques such as myofascial release, cranial sacral therapy, and more.
